National Science Foundation invites Pratik Shah as Expert Reviewer

Peer review of grant applications is a fundamental component of the U.S. research enterprise, ensuring the integrity and advancement of scientific discovery. As part of this process, scientists are regularly invited to serve as peer reviewers for a variety of public and private funding agencies, both within the United States and internationally. Among the key funding agencies, the National Science Foundation (NSF) plays a critical role in supporting academic research across many disciplines.
Dr. Shah has been invited by the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) to serve as a peer reviewer for the 2025 Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP). The GRFP is one of the nation’s most prestigious awards, providing support for students pursuing research-based doctoral degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. As part of this role, Dr. Shah will contribute to the review of fellowship applications within the “Comp Sci 1” panel, which focuses on a diverse range of topics in computer science and related fields. Specific areas covered by this panel include:

- Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality, Graphics, and Visualization
- Bioinformatics and Bio-inspired Computing
- Computer Vision
- Data Science, Data Mining, Information Retrieval, and Databases
